Your Voice DNA file is a set of instructions that tells Claude exactly how to write in your voice. Once it's built, you attach it to any Claude Project and every piece of content Claude writes for you sounds like you — not like a generic AI assistant.

How to build yours

Step 1: Download the blank template below

voice_dna_template.md

Step 2: Open a new Claude conversation and upload the template. Tell Claude: "Use this as the structure for my file."

Step 3: Copy the interview prompt below and paste it into the same conversation OR if you have a memory with the AI, ask it to complete the file based off what it knows about you and make edits from there.

Step 4: Answer the questions. When Claude is done, download your completed file and save it somewhere you'll find it.

The Interview Prompt

Copy this and paste it into Claude alongside the uploaded template.

I want to build a Voice DNA file so AI can write content in my voice. I've uploaded a blank template — use it as the structure for my completed file. Ask me the questions below one section at a time. Wait for my answers before moving on. If I give a vague answer, push me to be more specific. Don't let me get away with "I just want to be authentic" or "I have a conversational tone" — make me show you what that actually means with a real example.

Section 1: Who are you?

Section 2: Your audience

Section 3: Your voice

Section 4: How you actually write

Section 5: Platform by platform

  1. Where do you post and how does your energy change on each one? Walk me through it — Instagram feels like , LinkedIn feels like , wherever else you're active.

Section 6: The details

  1. What phrases, words, or expressions do you actually use that are distinctly yours? Slang, catchphrases, the stuff your regulars would recognize.
